Electronic Services for Borrowers

The Columbia University Libraries announce the availability of electronic renewal and other select Request It services to alumni and other registered borrowers.

Door To LIO Alumni, visiting scholars, seminar associates, and all other registered library borrowers may view their circulation record, request electronic renewal of items checked out, and request items from offsite, or items that are on order or in process. Please click My Library Account.

To use these services, you must first create a University Network ID (UNI). If you don't already have one, you may create your UNI online at http://www.columbia.edu/acis/tools/. Your account will be ready for use within 72 hours of the date on which your account is created.

Due to licensing agreements certain electronic resources will remain unavailable via remote access to alumni, visiting scholars, seminar associates and other registered visitors. Recent alumni will retain full library privileges, including borrowing privileges and access to licensed electronic databases, for a period of three months beyond the degree conferral date. The Butler Reference Department has provided a list of alternative resources to these licensed databases. You may see this list of resources online at http://www.columbia.edu/cu/lweb/indiv/butlref/visitors.html.

Please direct questions about the services' availability to the Library Information Office staff by email to lio@columbia.edu
