Happy New Year! The renovation of Butler Library will be completed shortly.
We apologize for any disruption in the coming weeks due to final construction activities.
General Construction
8th & 9th floors, Stack 15: Construction, including painting, will continue in isolated areas.
Stairs & Mechanical Rooms: Smells from paint and materials used to patch doors in stairs and mechanical rooms may linger briefly. Please watch your step and expect intermittent noise.
Adjusting New HVAC Equipment
Expect periods when air handlers are off and spaces are chilly, or warm as new HVAC equipment is adjusted throughout the building.
Inspections
Expect to see the contractors and building inspectors conducting final inspections in completed spaces from time to time.

Normal construction hours are
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Except where noted, all areas and services remain accessible.
All finishes & cleaning solutions have been approved by Columbia University Environmental Health & Safety Department.
